At the last international ESA-meeting in Washington the following editorial announcements were made:

1. Tim Cason has finished his term as co-editor of Experimental Economics. The new co-editor is Jacob Goeree. I want to thank Tim very much for all his work over the five years and for helping me in getting acquainted with the job. Thanks a lot also to Jacob for accepting to serve as new co-editor.

2. The recently released new 2008 impact factor for Experimental Economics is 1.875 (ranked # 20 out of 209 in economics), up from 1.128 (ranked # 47 out of 191 for 2007). This puts us ahead of a number of highly prestigeous journals.

 3. We announced the first Editors' Award for the best paper published in Experimental Economics in the previous year. The winner is Raghurma Iyengar and Andrew Schotter "Learning under Supervision", vol. 11, no.2, June 2008. The prize is $1000, financed 50/50 by the ESA and by the publisher of the journal, Springer. The award will be given yearly at the international meeting of the ESA.
